CLUBS
STUDENT COUNCIL
This holiday season student council is hosting a food drive. Clubs have decorated trees in the athletic commons. You can donate non-perishable foods and items under your favorite club’s tree to support this cause. You can donate food until Christmas break, let's fill the bottom of the trees with gifts for our community.
KEY CLUB
Key Club is happy that students are finding tiny dragons throughout the school and winning prizes. Remember, it is only ONE dragon per person. Please do NOT collect dragons just to keep them. The purpose of this event is to let over 400 students win a prize. If you are collecting more than 1 dragon, then you are denying others from being able to win a prize. So, if you have found more than 1 dragon, please give them away so others can also win a prize. All dragons will be available to keep after the dragon hunt event has finished on Friday Dec. 12.
STUDENT SERVICES
CREDIT RECOVERY
Registration is open for the HHS Credit Recovery program, which runs from January through April. Credit Recovery utilizes the Edgenuity software program online and is designed for students to recover credit(s) lost in previously failed high school courses. Interested students should pick up a Registration Application from Mrs. Erb in the Counseling Department. Credit Recovery will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 5:15, from Jan. 6 until April 30, located here at the high school in Room D204. Attendance is required. Questions? Contact Mrs. Erb. (12/19)
REPORT CARDS & POWERSCHOOL
In an effort to be more efficient with our resources, HHS will no longer be printing paper copies of report cards to mail home. Students and families will be encouraged to view their PowerSchool portal online. Parents who already have accounts set up do NOT need to create a new account. If you have login issues or questions regarding your Parent PowerSchool account, you may contact Mrs. Erb in the high school office at 269-945-6169 or by email at: kristi.erb@hassk12.org (Note: Parents still needing a paper copy mailed can request one from Mrs. Erb.) (1/8)

Aiden Hook was able to bowl an All Mark Game, all strikes and spares for his 211 game. The JV Boys bowled with Gavin Mix and Brennan Armstrong. Gavin bowled a 107, 148 and Brennan a 117, 126. Also won a Baker match with a 125. We travel to University Lanes on Saturday Dec 13th for Marshall's Scotch Doubles tournament and then next a Home match against Marshall bowlers on Tuesday Dec 16th at 3:30 @ Hastings Bowl. Hope to see you there to cheer on our Saxon Bowlers.
JV Girls Basketball
The Hastings Girls JV team traveled to Hopkins last night and came away with their first win of the season. It was a nail biter throughout the entire game. The game came down to the last possession. Liv Buehler did a nice job breaking Hopkins' press to get the ball to Molly McFarlan who led the Saxons in points with 11. Ashtyn Denton did a nice job driving to the paint and getting to the free throw line. She finished with 5 points. Kenzie Coss and Kim Coolidge also contributed with 4 points each. The bench did a nice job encouraging the girls playing and that is what kept us in the game. The Saxons travel to Harper creek Tuesday to improve their record!
